CoachMatching is a national coaching, learning & development and strategic management consulting company.  

We have a national pool of highly experienced professional coaches from a variety of disciplines, backgrounds and coaching schools who have all been assessed through our Assessment Centre.

CoachMatching has partnered with associate companies to form strategic alliances throughout South Africa.  This enhances our ability to deliver national and regional bespoke solutions for our clients.

CoachMatching draws on Susi Astengo’s 20+ years experience of working with clients and conducting market research, together with her innate ability to translate client's needs into a value proposition.  These skills combined her pragmatic approach to deliver spot-on highly professional solutions, results in client loyalty.

About Susi

Susi has worked in senior management and as a leadership coach and consultant.   She has a full range of experience working with blue chip Fortune 500 companies to independent start-ups. She combines a scientific approach with intuition and experience in the areas of behavioural assessment, leadership and organisation design.

Susi started her career in banking and finance and quickly moved into training and development with British Airways where she was responsible for training flight and cabin crew in a wide variety of interpersonal, supervisory and team skills.

She then successfully started her own business as a training consultant and worked exclusively for London Underground for two years on a two tier leadership development programme. Both the company and the programme are still operative in the UK.

In 1994 Susi joined an international human resource consultancy and worked with fortune 500 companies around the world, consulting on recruitment and selection, training and development, at all levels, in organisational systems and design.

In 2003 Susi moved to Cape Town where she worked as a freelance consultant with Deloitte providing leadership coaching and training, and business development.  During this time she established her own HR consultancy, before establishing Ekin Astengo Coaching in 2007.

She and her then partner Simon Ekin decided to focus on different offerings and EAC evolved into CoachMatching in March 2009.

Janice van der Merwe joined the company in 2008 after completing her ND: Management & Technology at the Cape Peninsula University of Technology where she graduated with a distinction. Before joining CoachMatching she completed her 6 months internship at Fresh Technologies/LRS as the Operations Manager.

 

As Operations Manager, Janice is the backbone to CoachMatching.  She is responsible for building and developing systems, financial management and administration, client and coach liaison, contract management, monthly reporting as well as coordinating the Coach Selection Process and monthly coach events.

Janice has played an pivotall role in developing efficient systems that enable CoachMatching to efficiently serve their coaches and clients.  CoachMatching's customer satisfaction ratings consistently reflect Jan's high standards in all that she does.
