One to One Coaching

One to one coaching is a powerful short term intervention suitable for all levels and disciplines within and outside of an organisation. This style of coaching typically covers a six month period to allow for a significant and sustainable behavioural change to occur. In today's busy work environment leaders and individual contributors at all levels rarely set aside time to assess, plan and reflect. One to one coaching creates a confidential and supportive environment that enables this to take place and the individual to achieve far greater results.

One to one coaching works best when:

  • The individual is fully committed to achieving specific goals
  • Coaching is supporting a leadership or personal development programme
  • The coachees goals are aligned with the organisations goals
  • Key stakeholders are supportive of the process
  • Measureable results can be identified

Whilst all coaching assignments are unique, the 'vanilla version' generally involves the coach and the coachee meeting face to face for one hour every two weeks.  These sessions follow a similar structure that includes:

  • Check in
  • Goal clarification
  • Assignment review and feedback
  • Probing questioning to establish the current and desired state, uncover limiting assumptions, facts versus the story, development of action plans and new ways of thinking and being to achieve the identified goal.
  • Assignments and commitment check
  • Close out to summarise insights from the coach and coachee
